Students with special abilities sometimes have a hard time regulating their sensory input. Whether they be under- or over-responsive to the input, it could have a negative effect on their learning if not regulated appropriately. Including tactile sensory therapies during daily learning activities in the classroom can assist students in keeping the focus on their learning. I would love to provide my students with an outlet to help them maintain the sensory input and love to learn simultaneously. The materials I am requesting will give my students the tactile experience that many of them are not naturally equipped with. I know these materials will enhance our learning environment to aid in the success of my students.
