I work with third grade students at my school and they are absolutely adorable. I wish I could say that they come to school to get a great education because they want to go to college and be successful adults. I need some incentives to help teach my students how to be great students so that they can learn the basic foundation of numbers. My students earn Cavemen dollars when they are focused and working hard on activities and lessons. They can turn these dollars into a prize like a slap bracelet, fan, springs, and other small incentives. Financial learning starts with understanding the basic foundation of numbers and my students need incentives and tools to become engaged with our lessons. The pencils, bracelets and other prizes will be used to make our math lessons hands-on and engaging. I plan to print numbers on the dollars so that students can count objects and use the dots to document their learning. The prizes will be used to count, add, and subtract. The cash register will be used to form numbers and to practice counting. Learning is so much more fun when we can play while we learn. Thank you so much for your help and support.
