Providing alternative seating will help students create their own individualized learning environments through various alternative seating options. One thing that has become very evident to me is the fact that the students need more opportunities to freely move amongst their peers. The addition of the balls seats and plastic stack stools will help to put students in charge of their own learning environment based on their learning styles and/or physical needs.. When students have the freedom of movement they are often more motivated to stay focused and more relaxed which then leads to a amazing improvement in student participation. The use of alternative seating is extremely beneficial for all children regardless of limitations that child may face.
