The second-grade students at my school are enthusiastic learners who are filled with curiosity. They are highly energetic and active learners. They are very motivated by hands-on experiences. My class is 95% African-American with a majority from low-income families and a few English language learners who learn better with hands-on and real-life experiences in all subject areas. Our school is located in Canarsie, a great neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.
