  • Bins to Stay Organized

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your recent donation so that we could have more bins to organize our library books and table caddies to hold our basic supplies such as pencils and crayons. The table caddies have allowed for students at each table to have easier access to pencils, dry erase markers, erasers and crayons that they share as a classroom community. Since we are a Title 1 school, we don't always get all the economic support that our school needs and I always rely on Donors Choose to fill in the gaps. Your generous donation makes it possible for me to keep doing what I love and to ensure that my students have everything they need to be successful. Your support truly makes a significant difference in our school community. Your kindness is appreciated more than words can convey.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nunez

  • Books to Enlighten Our Learning

    Funded Dec 16, 2024

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your recent donation so that we can have more books for our classroom library. The students have access to more books they can enjoy reading. They are able to read these books independently or even with a partner. When time permits we have ever shared read alouds with some of these titles. Your generosity helps my students in so many ways.

  • Flex Seating

    Funded Jan 10, 2025

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your donation so that we can have new wobbly stools in our second grade classroom. These stools have been an amazing asset to the classroom. The students can sit at these stools for small group instruction or teacher directed support at our kidney table. They add a special feeling to the classroom environment and students are so eager to sit on them. Your generosity helps my students in so many ways. Since we are a Title 1 school, we don't always get all the economic support that our school needs and I always rely on Donors Choose to fill in the gaps. Your generous donation makes it possible for me to keep doing what I love and to ensure that my students have everything they need to be successful. • Culturally Diverse Books!

    Funded Oct 2, 2024

Words are not enough to convey my appreciation. These culturally responsive books are an amazing asset to our classroom library. Students are able to see other children like them in these books. These books are serving as mirrors and windows for all my students, they encourage them to celebrate differences and similarities among each other. They are teaching the students meaningful messages about ourselves and others. Thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation makes such a big difference for my classroom and the students.”

  • Learning About Our World

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting this project and helping my second graders get more books that teach them about the world. They have loved reading and even looking at different photographs about our world independently and even with a partner. The maps have been an amazing asset to the classroom. Words are not enough to say how thankful and grateful I am for donors like you who help make my vision as an educator come true. Your generous donation makes it possible for me to keep doing what I love and to ensure that my students have books they enjoy so they can be successful readers.”

  • New Reading Curriculum New Supplies

    Funded May 11, 2024

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your donation so that we could have binders and plastic sheet protectors for our new English Language Arts Curriculum. The binders have been so handy for students to organize all their worksheets from our lessons. The sheet protectors have allowed them to organize the binders with dividers for different sections. Your generosity helps my students in so many ways. Since we are a Title 1 school, we don't always get all the economic support that our school needs and I always rely on Donors Choose to fill in the gaps. • Restocking on the Basics

    Funded Feb 25, 2024

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your donation so that we could have more basic supplies. The school year has come to an end and we used up many of the items you helped our classroom get. The hand sanitizers started being used the same day it arrived. We used up one entire bottle. The folders came in handy to replace some of our broken ones. The dry eraser markers and erasers were used on a regular basis for our phonics instruction in the morning. The plastic name tags were used during our trips this past spring to hold our school information in the case of an emergency.
