  • Perfect Attendance Recognition

    Funded Jan 26, 2021

I want to say a big THANK YOU!!! With your help, the children were able to get their Perfect Attendance prize for coming to school every day. This showed dedication to their education and willingness to learn! This brought joy to them knowing that I was paying attention to their presence in the classroom and knowing that they are missed when they are absent. It made a big difference in their participation and eagerness to learn. For the next project, I am hoping to give my next year's students the opportunity I had to give them the same things I did for this group of amazing students! Without your help and donation, this wouldn't have happened. I thank you greatly!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Diaz

  • Supplies for One, Supplies for ALL.

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

I greatly appreciate the generosity you have given to my project. As you know, due to COVID-19 it was impossible for my project to get started right away. With the new year and several students coming back to on-campus learning, I was able to give them the new resources to help them in their everyday learning. The drawstring bag was a big hit for those students that didn't have a backpack, to begin with. The folders that had their papers in it along with their basic supplies of pencils, pens, highlighters, ruler, sharpener was a tremendous help knowing they had those to get through. I see the students use their resources to achieve their learning every day. This project has made a massive impact on my students knowing they have someone that cares for them and wants to make sure they can achieve anything with a little help and compassion. Thank you to all who donated to my project. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to give. A million "Thank you" to you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Diaz

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Donor and 5 other donors.
During these unprecedented times, my 7th and 8th grade students have been faced with many inequitable learning situations-not having access to basic school supplies without the concern of going to stores to get what they need to be successful. Not having resources (like writing supplies) to support learning new academic content. Do to the inequities of distant learning, my students furthest from educational justice are the most impacted. With these supplies such as the pencils, pens, highlighters, sharpeners, will go into the pencil pouch to keep their writing supplies in one spot to keep in safe keeping. The folders, ruler, measuring tape, will be placed in their drawstring bag to keep in one place. This will help students organize all their needed materials for class all in one bag. By donating to my project, you're helping me create learning care packages for all students this fall. With these care packages, students will be given the opportunity to access the necessary needs to foster their learning in math exploration. Right now, our students furthest from educational justice rely on us, as teachers, to provide them with math resources that will support their learning. Due to COVID-19 students do not have access to these resources as they would in the classroom. My goal is to give students these care packages to use at home while working on their assignments. We recognize that this way of teaching is not equitable, so I'm asking for help to provide resources and materials that will enhance learning through an equity lens.
