Hearing and Seeing "My" Math!
Funded Mar 26, 2024The resources provided to my Hearing and Seeing My Math provided my students with valuable learning opportunities. The ability to add color to projects and group activities increased student engagement, improved visual representations and overall concept understanding. Providing color also aided with creativity and attention grabbing resources to assist visual learners with memory retention.
My goal was to provide students with alternate ways to express their creativity, improve visual representations, and clarify concepts through color coded differentiated activities. Your support helped expose my students to these engaging opportunities. Thank you!!”

Expressing Myself!
Funded Apr 9, 2024Thank you for the resources provided to the "Express Myself" project. The books and journals provided my students with valuable learning opportunities. Books have the ability to expand knowledge, assist with focus and concentration, develop critical thinking skills and build student imagination.
My goal was to help develop creative, passionate learners and writers who are able to critically think and develop self expression through writing by using non-threatening academic activities. Your support helped provide those opportunities.
Thank you!”

Healthy Inside And Out!
Funded May 9, 2022Thank you for your support of our classroom. The " Healthy Inside and Out" resources continue to provide ongoing support to our classroom. The healthy snacks have provided great alternatives for the students and exposed then to tasty snacks that are also good for them. We developed a classroom "snack attack" hour that allowed students to sample healthy alternatives, it was a great success. The students enjoyed eating and learning!
When the supplies were received initially my students were shocked and confused. Shocked to see that others cared about our classroom and confused about why they were being educated on different snack alternatives. As a class we also took turns using the wipes and cleaning supplies to sanitize our classroom and supplies on a daily basis.
Our next step as a class is to create healthy snack posters to educate students in different classrooms and different grade levels. We have also researched the appropriate ways for sanitizing surfaces and things we can do as individuals to minimize health and safety risk.”

The Real (Virtual) Deal!
Funded Jan 9, 2022My classroom project "The Real (virtual) Deal has added a new twist of excitement to my classroom. This project is helping to prepare my students for the future by exposing them to real time researched experiences and on the spot learning activities used to enhance student collaboration. Student excitement is evident as they articulate new learning and observations. This engaging resource adds variety to the classroom environment that has taken student learning to a different level.
Students are enjoying classmates interact with this new technology and the collaboration throughout our classroom is priceless. This technology resource is a true example of what hands on learning looks like. This technology resource also allows me as a facilitator to engage all learners in our academic classroom goals by reaching visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners.
My visual learners are exposed to colorful, engaging attention grabbing activities, my auditory learners are not only seeing but hearing sounds that keep them focused, and my kinesthetic learners are able to see, hear and virtually touch and interact with classroom lessons that support collaboration and the classroom learning environment. We are truly thankful for the donors who contributed to this time saving, thought provoking resource!”

Funded Jan 1, 2022Amazing! My classroom project "Financial Fun: Just Do It was just that. My 4th grade math students are enjoying the engaging fun that they have been exposed to through the games and activities from this project. Problem solving skills and group interactions have been two of the most exciting to watch. Increased positive social interaction provided through the games have allowed my students the opportunity to get a better understanding of respect and understand others.
My students were thrilled to see the new resources added to our classroom. Several of my students have played the games before but a large majority of them had no previous experience with our new classroom resources. Words can not describe the joy I felt observing students teach and engage their classmates. Additional class leaders have emerged and overall classroom social skills and communication has risen to a new level.
This project is being used in our weekly station rotation to provide ongoing financial literacy and expose students to hands on activities. We are also using these resources during our bi-weekly fun Friday school wide initiative. 4th and 5th grade students are enjoying these thought provoking , engaging and fun activities. Words cannot express how grateful I am to the donors who supported my classroom.”

Funded Dec 11, 2018Your generosity provided my students with learning experiences and exposure to resources that took them to places that they would not have normally seen.
My students have been able to use their technology to attend virtual field trips, complete research, annotate math/science assignments, create virtual projects and engage in a variety of online learning activities.
The technology was a great resource for my general education students, my English language learners, and my dyslexia students.
Thank you for your generosity!!”
