First and foremost, this is a teaching tool that would be used in my classroom. Call me Ms. Frizzle if you must, but I want my students hungry for learning! The students who would most benefit from this project would be those who come from lower-income homes, that don't have the opportunity to travel. Imagine being a student from a low SES, who has never left his hometown, but saw the Egyptian Pyramids after lunch! In addition to being used in Social Studies, or as a Science tool, the Google Expeditions 5 User Kit will aid comprehension. Many students suffer because they lack the schema that some of their classmates have. A tool like this can help me close that gap! I am so excited about this. At some point, I will go into poverty bringing this into my class, my wish is for a little assistance in doing so!
