Through project based learning my students will be building, decorating and filling a Little Free Library which will be placed on school grounds. My class is eagerly looking forward to sharing their interest in reading and love of books with their family and friends. The Little Free Library would incorporate a vast number of our standards and help our students to feel like they are contributing to their neighborhoods while presenting them with new ways to learn outside of the classroom. Many of my students have reported that they do not have books in their home and ask throughout the day to be able to take books home to show their families. We feel that building a Little Free Library would help reach other families that have a similar story.

About my class
