It is difficult to get my students to attend school on time, especially the first period of the day. Many of them do not eat breakfast. I would like to be able to provide my first period students the incentive to come to class on time by offering them a breakfast of their choice (such as a granola bar or Nutrigrain bar) and juice so they can focus on their school work rather than being hungry. I also have a group contingency reward system set up that students can earn snacks based on their behavior in class. Some students do not always eat lunch, so protein snacks such as the tuna kits can help get them through the afternoon until they can go home. Nonedible items I have on the list, the plastic containers and cabinet are one-time purchases that will be used to protect the food from the mouse that lives in my closet (it's an old school building and mice are EVERYWHERE). I have a small closet that locks and space is limited, so the locking cabinet will help me keep the items safe and it can also serve as the "breakfast bar". Students with food in their stomachs are more focused and it will also help stabilize their moods. Thank you for your support!
