Funded Nov 10, 2013On behalf of my students, our school and myself I thank you for your kind and generous support of the "Light, CAMERA, Action" project. The camera has provided my students an important tool to produce our weekly newscast and the production of the annual school yearbook. Having this camera has enabled my students to take the production of these two projects into their own hands. They are so excited with what they can accomplish that they are now researching additional avenues to establish what they know will become first class products. Their thought processes are expanding and their excitement for the potential for what they can produce is endless and my students realize without your generous support this would not have been possible. The excitement on their faces and the thought of what they can accomplish has been a tremendous learning experience. My students are thinking outside the box and realizing that they can produce a quality product far beyond their initial expectation. They continuously research, share ideas with each other and work in a collaborative learning environment to find the best news articles and photos. They look for interesting and relevant stories and they are proud of what they are doing and what they want to do. Your support has opened a new path for my students. They realize with the proper tools, an enriched imagination and the desire to produce a quality product that they can say, "I did that" with an enormous sense of pride. Through your donation you have shown your support and belief in public education. Your contribution has enriched the classroom learning experience of my current students and awaits my future students and for that I am deeply grateful.”

This classroom project was brought to life by an anonymous donor and 10 other donors.Mini iPad = Max Math Growth
Funded Mar 2, 2013On behalf of myself and my students I want to thank you for your contribution to my Donor's Choose Project, Mini iPad = Max Math Growth. The "mini" is a tremendous resource to my students. Not only are they able to work daily on ST Math; they used educational apps to reinforce skill that are being taught in class; and as an extra bonus they did research for their State Reports. They were so excited that such a small piece of technology could provide them the same information as a large desk top computer.
The iPad Mini is a wonderful tool for students to use at their desks. My students use the "mini" to work more frequently with an interactive math program, ST Math, providing them a fun and challenging experience while learning basic math skills. Learning to do research is a skill that all students must learn and in so doing my students were excited to do their research, using the "mini" for their State Reports, resulting in some of the best research produced.
As technology will be the companion to my student's future, you have provided the opportunity to experiance this additional technology for the classroom. Through your generosity and commitment to education you have provided me with tools to expand my student's learning environment and hope that my future projects will be of interest to you.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Williams
Raccoons in Search of an "Apple"
Funded Dec 6, 2011544x376
I sincerely want to thank you for your generous donation toward the Apple Computer for my classroom. Over the last several months we have had the joy and opportunity to experience just a few of the many applications that are available to my students and their learning environment. We have used the reading and writing programs and in addition we have been able to create a video Classroom News Program - Pencil Box News that gets posted to our classroom blog weekly. This in itself has .created a new excitement and a new experience in learning for my students.
As you are well aware school budgets are dwindling and without your generous contribution this learning technology would not have been possible for my students.
Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms and students in the United States would go without. ”
With gratitude,
Mr. Williams
The Small Things in Life
Funded Oct 22, 2010It is with much gratitude and appreciation that I thank you for your donation toward the four microscopes for my classroom. The impact of your generosity has been immediately felt by my students who for many have been able to delve into the world of the microscopic for the first time.
The excitement and wonder that my students are experiencing has begun to open the minds of my students as they look beyond what they see in front of them and discover the miracles of the minute organisms that make up the world around them.
Most especially for my students I thank you again for understanding the importance of education and the resources needed.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Williams
