This classroom project was brought to life by Someone Who Cares and 3 other donors.

We need to build tolerance and empathy in order to get along. We also need to feel empowered by understanding our personal and collective histories. Books that build character will help my students become more compassionate and emotionally intelligent. Culturally relevant books will allow them to see themselves in history and understand where they come from. Students with special needs and social-emotional needs require extra support and care. They need various ways to feel successful, outside of the traditional structures. The wobble cushions will help some of my students with ADHD stay focused while they work, and the lego simple machine set will motivate students to get their work done and earn time to be creative and play.
