Welcome to Room 218 ~ 3rd Grade Triumphant Learners! I am a grateful teacher at Lawndale Community Academy. While I am new to Donors Chose, I am a veteran teacher and have made a conscious decision to teach at LCA in order to support my wonderful students who desperately need stability Many of my children have faced great challenges due to a host of difficulties in their young lives. They live in one of the most poverty-stricken neighborhoods in our city, our entire system has been hit with major budget cuts. The families of my students cope with various socio-economic challenges some people would not be able to imagine. And in the face of such difficulties, we are a SMART, STRONG and a CAPABLE group!!! Our class motto is "Triumphing Against Diversity!" My first Donors Chose project is solely for books in order to support this class theme! Thank you for considering a donation to our project.
