Most of my students need visual supports and focused step-by step instruction. Since we are helping to prepare students for employment, my class works on a lot of documents such as practice job applications, resume writing, etc. Having a document reader will allow me to more effectively teach the entire class, or larger groups and provide students the ability to follow along with my steps and demonstrate how to correctly fill in documents. Currently, without a document camera, students lose valuable instruction time as my assistant and I have to bounce around to explain steps to one student at a time.
