There are not enough words to express my joy, gratitude, and thanks for your generous donations to my class project. My students and I are so very appreciative of your support for education and creative, hands-on techniques for learning. We are looking forward to receiving the chairs. The flexible seating option will benefit all of the students , as we continue to grow and learn in the classroom. We can't wait to share some pictures of us using our new chairs! Thank you again!”

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Last year my students experienced difficulty working at their desk and remaining on task. When I visited other classrooms, I saw students engaged, comfortable and working in a variety of locations. If I was able to incorporate flexible seating in our room, my students would have the option to work at tables, with clip boards on the rug, bean bag or chair at the back table. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.
