Some of the supplies that I have listed in my cart will allow me to provide a learning environment that is free from distraction and clutter. Each of my blocks will have their own drawer in the storage cart where they will be able to find any notes or materials for the lesson. The literature organizer will provide a way for students to turn in their assignments .The stapler will allow students to staple scratch work to assessments and staple reports. The sheet protectors can serve as a way to protect the students notes but also serve as a dry erase board. Students would be able to receive a folder if they would like to keep their notes together. Using a pencil in a math class is an important tool. Often times, students come to class without a pencil. They are often not returned and then students do not have anything to write with if they forget. I teach AP Statistics so the cards and dice will help teach the probability unit. This is the most challenging unit for students so having the manipulatives will help with the comprehension of the material. With the rise of cell phone usage, students are often very distracted at school. The docking station will provide a place for them to charge their phones away from their desk. Students have different types of cell phones so the short cables and cords will provide the opportunity for multiple students to charge their phones. Students are involved in many different sports, clubs, and activities. They are coming in early or staying late after school. Often times, their cell phones die and are not able to call their parents or guardians to pick them up or tell them that they have to stay after for extra help.
