My class has a high percentage of students who receive free or reduced lunch due to their economic needs. My students have parents who care, but are not always able to assist with additional educational assistance. Many of my students come from homes that speak a language other than English, therefore they do not have the ability to assist their children with school work, especially reading. Many of my students are willing to try and realize the importance in reading, but lack the skills required for them to succeed. They work hard and are highly motivated.
