  • Social Emotional Fidgets

    Funded Oct 10, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. This is going to help children to be able to focus in class and to meet their social emotional needs. This has been a major focus of our class this school year. This project really will help with the stress and anxiety my students have throughout the day.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Crawford

  • Sports Gear 4 All

    Funded May 4, 2022

Thank you so much for taking the time to donate to my baseball team this spring season. We have had a rough start and barely been able to play any games thus far. Spirits have been a little down. I am super excited to share with the team some of the new gear we have coming to help support the games we have coming up over the next few weeks. This truly will make a huge difference for our team and our program, appreciate each and every one of you, more than you know. Could not do it without this amazing support system.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Crawford

  • Sound Amplified for the Voice of Equity

    Funded Aug 20, 2021

This project was created due to the fact I did not realize that the Voice Amplifier (QBall) from my previous project needed a speaker in order to work. Once I got the speaker and was able to hook it up, I was able to introduce the QBall into the classroom. With the speaker I have additionally been able to have the students create a classroom playlist so we can play music when appropriate for all students to enjoy. It has created a space for community within the classroom and a place for us to bond over different artists.”

    Ms. Crawford

  • Voices Heard

    Funded Jul 30, 2021

This project helped to fund a voice amplifier and let me tell you this has been one of the most exciting and fun new additions to our classroom. This foam ball is getting new students to participate every day. They love throwing the ball across the classroom, goofing around with each other, and sharing out their ideas about math. The greatest part of the voice amplifier is that it allows the air purifier to be on (which is very noisy but keeps us all safe) and stills allows even the quietest student to be able to share their ideas and all students will hear. The equity of voice is really unparalleled with the device.”

  • Building an Engaging Classroom Post Pandemic!

    Funded Jul 19, 2021

The classroom is so beautiful with all of the amazing materials that have been purchased through the support of your donations. The learning space is something that the students have taken ownership for and have complimented consistently. Frequent quotes heard, "I cannot believe this is the same classroom," "This classroom is very calming and inviting." All of this would not have been possible without your donations. This classroom space was so important for the students to come back to after remote learning for over a year. As the pandemic rages on we do the best that we can to control the things we can. One of those things is the space where the students do the learning. Thank you so much once again.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Crawford

This project will help support students during exploratory learning within the math classroom. The students are expected to collaborate and learn with each other once per week, this project offers materials to ensure a collaborative, exploratory environment. Specifically, each table group will get a classroom caddy which will include expo markers, dry erase markers for writing math problems on their desks, fidgets, stress balls, large erasers, etc. The binder tabs will help the students to learn organizational skills with their classroom binders. The storage cubes will be for groups to keep their classroom supplies organized and all in one place to grab each day as they come in. The desktop drawers will be space for each class period of the day for students to turn in their work in one centralized station. Additionally, these materials will create a culture within the classroom that is fun, exciting, and encouraging the students to reengage in the learning. Many students have been learning remotely for over 18 months and will be stepping foot back into the classroom for the first time since March 2020. I want my classroom to be one that excites them, one that is inclusive to all learners, and one that really is building a community when we have been distanced for so long. The posters will provide words of encouragement all over the classroom to visually support their social-emotional well-being. An aesthetically pleasing workplace brings in a mentality of productivity and reduces anxiety which many teens have in the math classroom. The marquee letters will provide a station of rotation messages, phrases, sayings of encouragement that are math themed/puns. All of these materials will be used to directly benefit the students in my math classroom.
