• Changing The Way We do Math

• Whiteboards for a Collaborative Classroom

  Thank you so much for your donations to my project to get new individual white boards for my students. The students were so excited when they found out we had brand new white boards for them to use.

  Every day that we use the whiteboards the students are more engaged and really seem to enjoy class more. The students love getting to use them.

• Growing Math Minds!

  Thank you so much for all the white boards. These new white board allows my students to have interactive activities where each student has the opportunity to model their work.

  When they walked into class they were very excited to see our new boards. Many of my students have already told me they love using the whiteboards. They said the white boards were big so it gave them more space to do their math work and helped them when working in their groups.

  Thank you so much for funding this project. Words can't express how much this means to my 4th math grade class. This will make the lessons so much more interactive and engaging for all my students.”

• Comfy and Cozy Flexible Seating

  Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. The students were surprised to enter the classroom and see our new Comfy and Cozy Flexible Seating. They were very excited when I explained that generous donors are the reason we have the alternative seating.

  Each day we rotate so all students are able to benefit from our alternative seating. The students are excited when they are able to utilize the seats. The seating helps them to remain focused.

  It is because of donors like you that made it possible to have our project fully funded. The students in my classroom will benefit from having flexible. Thank you again!”

• Fostering a Love of Math through Books

  I cannot express how excited I was to have my Donor's Choose project fully funded! It mean so much to me to see that people had given to my project. I felt strongly that having books in the classroom related to our math standards was incredibly important, and you helped make that happen.

  The day the materials arrived I was so excited to share everything with the students. The students could not get their hands on these books quick enough. They were eager to see all the different titles and use the books to learn more about the math standards this year.

  In closing, I just want to say that this year would not have been the same without these books, which was only possible because of you. I fully intend to use these books year after year to enhance the curriculum and foster a love of reading even in math class! Thank you again...SO much!”

• Flexible Seating in the Classroom

  Thank you so much for your generosity. Incorporating flexible seating using the items from the list has been a tremendous asset to our classroom. When my students first saw all of the new flexible seating options they were very excited!

  My students love to use their flexible seating options to complete group and independent activities. We have a new sense of community within our classroom that comes from sharing and maintaining these items. The students absolutely LOVE having the opportunity to get up and move around. It truly motivates them to become better learners.

• Hands On Math Fun

  When my students first saw the resources they were so excited! We are using these amazing resources in small group centers. The students have been loving using these hands on materials. I have been teaching individual students how to use the materials and then they teaching their peers how to, which helps reinforce their own math practice.

• Making Math Hands-On

  my students love the new materials for our classroom. They use the dry erase boards on a daily basis to share answers to POTD and number talks. My ENL students especially like these because it gives them an opportunity to share without having to speak in front of everybody. The fraction strips have helped my struggling students visualize the different size fractions. This helps them to find equivalent fractions and compare and order fractions. The large magnetic strips have helped me to model for my students when I am teaching them. The children have used the dominoes to play a variety of fraction games.”
