  • Let's Get This Paw-ty Started!

    Funded May 9, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity and support for our project. My students were so excited when they learned the project was funded. When the packages arrived, I explained to the students how each item will help make our class dog treat business better. The cart will help with delivery of the treats. The bags and paper will help with the packaging, and the storage container will also be beneficial to keep all of the supplies.

Our next steps with the dog treat fundraising business is to expand the selling of the dog treats outside of the school. We hope to help provide educational field trips to various classes in our school and to help support local animal shelters in the area.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Oser

  • Financial Literacy is Fun For Me!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your kindness and support for our classroom to help fund the project for teacher pay teacher gift cards.

I have already been able to use the gift cards to purchase materials and activities. The materials are engaging and help my students make progress towards their goals. For example, I bought an unit on restaurant math to help my students learn the basics of finding prices, purchasing items, and knowing how much money they should get back.

I have also purchased some fun and engaging activities for the Fall such as doing an apple taste test and completing a graph to go with it. My students really enjoyed that activity.”

  • Teaching on Wheels!

    Funded Aug 24, 2021

My students were excited to receive the dry erase easel. A couple of my students even helped put it together. We appreciate the generosity from you all.

We began using the easel in our language arts class for small group instruction. I am able to move it around to the small groups and use the dry erase board to write down their answers or to make graphic organizers. The students can also use the dry erase board to share their ideas from the class reading or discussion.

The class hopes to continue using the easel for more small and large group instruction for all subject areas. Thank you again for supporting our classroom.”

  • Engaging Resources for All!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity and support. In my classroom, there are a variety of needs, so I create many of my own resources and activities. With the teacher pay teacher gift cards, I was able to find resources that meet their individual needs to help them meet their goals. My students really enjoyed some of the materials that I had purchased with the gift cards such as the digital activities. I was able to purchase some items to post on google classroom for the students to complete during remote learning. Thank you again for your donations. We really appreciate it!”

  • We Like to Read It!

    Funded Sep 5, 2020

Thank you so much again for your generosity and supporting my classroom. My students were so excited to look at all the different kinds of books that were chosen.

My class has begun receiving the scholastic news and Science Spin magazines as well. The students are engaged in the materials and I am already beginning to see the improvement in their comprehension skills.

My students enjoy the time I read to them from chapter books. That time is part of our daily routine and the students look forward to.”

  • Art Therapy

    Funded Feb 8, 2020

Thank you all so much for the donations and support for our classroom. My students and I were so excited to open the packages and look at the resources we received.

We began brainstorming and planning what we can do with the activities and materials we received.

My class hopes to share the materials with another class to promote social skills, communication skills, and overall friendship.

Our other future plans is to have the materials accessible for sensory needs, crafting, and creating items for the classroom.”

  • Learning Is Fun!

    Funded May 20, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students and I were excited to receive the new resources. They helped to open up the packages and organize the materials. We have been utilizing the new materials for vocational tasks since my students are high school age. I have also been using the materials to help work on their IEP goals and to progress monitor. We hope to continue using the materials to further enhance their learning and prepare them for transitioning into the work environment.

Thank you again for your donations and helping our classroom.”

  • Sensory, Sensory

    Funded Oct 14, 2018

Thank you again for your generous donations. My classroom and myself were very excited when we first received the materials. We opened up each item and talked about what each material was used for.

The students have been using the materials to help with sensory therapy. Some of the sensory toys for the classroom are also excellent fidget toys and can improve concentration and focus in children and others who need to keep their hands busy to listen and attend. The visual timer has also been a great tool in the classroom to keep the students on task.

The classroom will continue to utilize the materials for sensory therapy to best meet the needs of the students. The materials are things that will help calm and stimulate the students. Above all, they are fun and the students will learn through what they experience in their environment.”

  • Kids in the Kitchen!

    Funded Sep 18, 2018

Thank you again for your generosity and donating to my class's "Kids in the Kitchen" project. My students and I were so excited to learn that the project was funded and could not wait to put the products to use. While we were opening the boxes of kitchenware, I explained to the students what each piece was used for and we brainstormed ideas of what recipes we could make.

My class participates in a weekly cooking lesson, therefore we have been using the kitchenware quite often. All of the students have been able to get involved in the activities. The skills that are being taught during the cooking lessons are following directions, measuring, counting, life skills, social skills, and communication skills. The students favorite part of course is eating what they make.

My class and I thank you again for your support. We are excited to have more fun filled cooking lessons while learning valuable life skills.”
