• Using Our Senses to Cope With Big Emotions

  My students loved every item that was donated for their need this past school year. Many students were able to select items of their choice to use to calm down while being able to process big feelings that got out of control.

  This past school year, I've seen my kids be able to become more aware of their feelings and more empowered to manage their feelings with my support.

  I'm so happy that we were able to bring my vision to life.

• School Uniforms for English Language Learners

  Funded Aug 22, 2021

  With the support from our donors, we were able to provide 150 uniform items to our students in need.

  The new uniforms helped lift their confidence so that they could focus on their school work and not what they didn't have.

  Many families new to our country, were grateful and appreciative of the help. When they got here, buying uniforms was not a high priority for them. I'm so glad we were able to relieve them from that as their main focus was getting settled in a new country.

• Positive Behavior Incentives and Supports for Virtual Learners!

  Thank you for funding our campaign. We were able to reward our children for their hard work during virtual learning. We were able to receive items that the children can use at home or in school while staying safe during this pandemic.

  Many of our children have overcome many obstacles this past school year. The main obstacle was being stuck in the home with little exercise. It was exciting to be able to reward them with with the items that didn't require them to sit behind a computer.

• Tools For Learning At Home

  Thank you for your donation to this campaign. As we navigated through virtual learning last school year, our students were provided with the necessary tools to be successful. They received head phones to minimize the background noise at home so that they can focus on their teacher on the computer. They also received lap desks so that they could work on the couch or floor if there was limited space for learning at home.

  They were very happy and excited when I arrived at their homes with their headphones and lap desk. Even the younger siblings not in school wanted one.

  As we begin a new uncertain school year (2021-2022) I am confident knowing that our kids have tools at home if we need to switch to distant learning again.”
