This classroom project was brought to life by New Teacher Fund and 20 other donors.

Reading books stimulates children's imaginations and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. I hope to use these iPads during my reading centers so my students have the opportunity to hear books read to them, to practice their own reading skills in a safe and encouraging environment, and to spark the love of reading in all of them. The ability to read directly effects every aspect of schooling. These children must have solid reading foundation to be a success in all aspects of their education.
