  • Chronicles of a First Year Teacher

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to my class. This is just a small token of my gratitude for your donation. The Educational Insights Hot Dots have impacted my students learning in a positive manner. We have used them in small group and independently during centers.

The students faces truly light up when they get to use them and enjoy being able to see the pens eyes light up when they have learned something new or gotten a question right! It is amazing to see the students so excited about learning through technology and hands-on activities.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Welch

My students love to learn to read. They are so proud once they can put a sentence together! They love to sit and read with buddies. Kindergartners also love to learn through hands on fun. I discovered Hot Dots this year and am so excited about them, I want to add a Hot Dot for each math and reading subject we do. Hot Dots provide the students questions and reading passages and the students use the Hot Dots pen to choose the correct answer. They are then told by the special pen if they are right or wrong. This helps me while I am doing small groups with other students. The Hot Dots are great center activities to build their knowledge and understanding of the standards we study (math and reading). When I work at the back table with my small groups, the students typically are working in centers. The Leap Pads will be a great addition to our center rotations and will be so fun for them. With our world very technology- based now, my students learn a lot from them.
