  • Tablets for Student-Centered Learning

    Thank you for being generous in donating tablets for my classroom. We have been able to incorporate technology like never before. Students now have access to many sites and we are able to incorporate online collaborative work through the use of the tablets. In particular, students have used the tablets to access programs such as Flocabulary and Flipgrid. They have been able to create projects that break the brick and mortar model of schools. Students that have particularly benefited from this project include my low-income and ELL students. Thank you so much for all you do!”

The five Amazon Fire tablets will help my students challenge themselves and engage in student-centered learning. They will be engaged in projects such as creating cartoon strips and news reports. These projects will help them to be able to better explain their understanding about concepts in a non-traditional way. They will take ownership of their learning. Students will be able to work in groups and maximize their learning through collaboration. The tablets will facilitate the incorporation of technology in the classroom. The tablets will also help prepare my students to be technology savvy. With your donation, students will ultimately have the opportunity to accomplish higher academic achievement
