  • Video Production Using Smartphones

    Thank you so much for your consideration, support and encouragement. Your donation was a message to my students that telling their story and sharing their voice still matters. This is a program that is constantly growing in a field that is evolving each day. Video production is now a skillset that opens so many doors for students. Both personally but also professionally. Many of them look up to steamers, directors, and writers who share incredible wealths of information or make beautiful pieces of self expression.   • Artists Dream Big!

    Your donation has made an incredible difference in our classroom environment. The fridge is a HUGE help! Students have been storing lunches, drinks, and snacks. Students are very stoked to have access to something in the convenience of my classroom. It pairs nicely with the classroom microwave.

    Our new digital clocks have been a game changer. Because they are red, it is safe to have one in the darkroom for students working on prints. This has impacted time awareness and makes everyone better at time management.”

  • DSLR for Digital Media

    You donations made it possible for us to get one more digital camera in our collection. I can't express how much of a difference this made. Students were able to have more access which meant more artwork was create. This trimester was the first time teaching Digital Media and it was an incredible success! From product photography and portraiture, to fully edited videos! These cameras opened up so many opportunities and the possibilities were endless.   • Photography Studio

    THANK YOU! Your support helped my students explore the world of digital photography in a more professional setting. They now have working lights that can be portable, used outside, and have color effects. During this past trimester, we discuss how to lighting in a image can change the 'mood'. Using the different colors and angles, students were able to experiment with how they wanted their work be perceived. My students were able to record video and use the mic you helped up get for audio recordings. These materials bring new elements to our classroom and make us excited for the future!”

  • Protecting and Promoting Photographic Growth

    Thank you so much for your support! With your help, our students received film sleeves and print protectors to help archive their photography. Their photos will last longer and be able to be shared with others in a safe environment. You also helped us get binders to protect their photo portfolios at not cost to them. These binders will help them keep everything together in one spot. My class is more efficient, organized and safe with your help. My students thank you from the bottom of their hearts!”

  • Capturing Today's Moments for Tomorrow's Future!

    I want to thank you both so much for your consistent support and belief in our photo program. Your help has made a huge impact on the growth of our classroom with access to materials. Having the support from the community means a lot. One of the reasons I came to TSAS in the first place was because I saw photography slowly being removed from local schools but TSAS believed in it's potential. Photography saved my life in high school and I hope to empower students to have a voice and learn the skills to tell their own stories through their work. Each camera you helped us purchase for our classroom allows another student to have a new tool for expression.

The digital cameras will allow my students to further understand the traditional photographic techniques learned in the darkroom in Photo I and prepare them for the constant growth of the digital world. The students will gain experience, a better understanding of digitally media, create professional workflow habits and explore digital editing software such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Photo II will be able to create a more progressive curriculum and the capabilities of our Yearbook staff will flourish as we will be able to document more events and moments throughout the school year. Having more tools to work with will will greatly impact my student's education

About my class
