Did someone say, Recorders?!
Funded Nov 1, 2024On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous contribution to our classroom. Thanks to your support, every student now has the opportunity to play their first formal instrument—a recorder—and begin their journey into the world of music.
This gift is so much more than just an instrument. It is the key to unlocking their creativity and fostering skills like discipline, teamwork, and self-expression. Watching my students light up as they learn to read music and make their own melodies has been truly inspiring, and it wouldn't have been possible without your generosity.
Your belief in the importance of music education makes a lasting impact. Through your kindness, you are helping to nurture a lifelong appreciation for the arts and empowering the next generation to find their unique voices.
Thank you for investing in our students and in the future of music education. Your support is deeply appreciated and will resonate for years to come.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Jun

Funded Jul 30, 2024I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of a classroom set of ukuleles. Because of your kindness and support, my students now have the incredible opportunity to explore music in a hands-on, engaging way that would not have been possible otherwise.
These ukuleles are already sparking joy and enthusiasm in our classroom. For many of my students, this is their first experience playing an instrument, and the excitement is palpable. Each time we gather to learn new chords and play songs together, I see their confidence and creativity grow. This gift has not only enriched our music program but has also provided my students with a sense of accomplishment and teamwork as they learn and play together.
Thank you for making a difference in their lives and for inspiring a love of music that will surely stay with them for years to come. Your support means the world to us, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our school community.”

Getting into a new GROOVE!
Funded Nov 1, 2023I am writing on behalf of the students and myself to express our deepest gratitude for your generous contribution towards purchasing musical instruments for our music classroom here in Las Vegas, NV.
Your support has been instrumental (pun intended) in enhancing the musical education of our students. Thanks to your generosity, we now have a vibrant collection of instruments that have opened up a world of musical possibilities for our students in grades K-5.
The excitement in our classroom is palpable! Our students have been enthusiastically exploring various genres of music, from classical compositions like Beethoven to contemporary hits from bands like Imagine Dragons. They have been working together, harmonizing their efforts, and creating beautiful music that not only enriches their lives but also brings joy to our entire school community.
Your contribution goes beyond the instruments themselves; it is an investment in the future of these young musicians. It has allowed them to experience the joy of collaboration, creativity, and self-expression through music. Your kindness will have a lasting impact on their musical journey.
We want you to know that your support has made a real difference in our music program, and we are committed to working together to make music that resonates with our hearts and souls. Your belief in the power of music education inspires us every day.
Once again, thank you for your generosity and support. You have helped create a musical legacy in our classroom, and we are truly grateful. We hope to share our musical achievements with you in the future and keep you updated on our progress.”

Instruments for All!
Funded Oct 12, 2021I was overwhelmed by the support I received for my Donor's Choose project! I could feel the love and passion for our school, community and music education by how quickly it was funded.
When the shipment first arrived at the school, I was so excited to see the quality and number of instruments we now have for our music room. The plan was to start learning and playing right away but unfortunately, COVID-19 hit our school district hard.
We have slowly been introducing our new hand bells into the music curriculum. The younger students are THRILLED to be both reading and playing music as an ensemble. The older students are seeing (and hearing) the power of working together as a group to create beautiful harmonies with our new instruments. I can see their confidence building each and every music class.
With our new instruments, we have the ability to make beautiful music together while working together as a school community. It will also give students the opportunity to showcase their individual talents as well! The students of Mathis Elementary and I can't thank you enough for your donation.”

Don't Fret! Uke can learn to play an instrument too!
Funded Sep 10, 2020I was overwhelmed by the support I received for my Donor's Choose project! I could feel the love and passion for our school, community and music education by how quickly it was funded.
When the shipment first arrived at the school, I was so excited to see the quality and number of ukuleles we now have for our music room. The plan was to start learning and playing right away but unfortunately, COVID-19 hit our school district hard.
Sadly, we have not had the pleasure of playing our beautiful instruments just yet (for safety reasons) but my students are learning all about the parts and pieces of the ukulele properly before we do play. It's also teaching my students a valuable lesson in the "power of YET".
In the meantime, we have been brainstorming all the wonderful ways we can (safely) incorporate our new string instruments into our music lessons. The kids have come up with fabulous ideas that feature more classroom instruments to create a full ensemble. I simply cannot wait to see (and hear) what they'll come up with!
With our new ukuleles, we have the ability to make beautiful music together while working as an ensemble. It will also give students the opportunity to showcase their individual talents as well! We will no doubt be strengthening ourselves and our community thanks to your donation.”

Mrs. Jun
