Words at Their Fingertips
Funded Jan 24, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation. This is something that students will use in the classroom for many years to come. These dictionaries will assist students with reading skills as well as writing skills. Dictionaries will always be available when needed. Computers are not always reliable but text will never fail.”

Reading Adventures
Funded May 5, 2022Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. Students are enjoying the books daily and visiting so many new lands. Some students do not have easy access to books at home and this made it to where students have books that they can borrow easily and then get another one when they finish. The students love all the topics of the books and that they are subjects that they can relate to. This has truly been a blessing for my classroom and the students have shown so much gratitude for this donation.”

Funded Aug 27, 2020The donation of books has made a huge impact on my class. The books are exposing them to more things and building their background knowledge. The books that were provided were a mix of genres which is great for the students since it greatly varies what their likes and dislikes are. At the end of the last school year I looped up with my students to 4th grade so some are able to enjoy the books again. This has been the first full back since Covid so a great number of students are able to enjoy the books now.
The books are mainly used during our DEAR (drop everything and read) time which begins our reading period. Students then apply a writing skill to what they read each day during the writing period.
The graphic novels have been a huge hit with my students that don't really enjoy reading.”

Let My Students' Voices Be Heard
Funded Aug 13, 2019Thank you so much for your contribution. My students have loved using the 2 new resources in the classroom. The Eggspert game has been great for review. The QBall has been their favorite by far. The QBall is a throwable microphone so this allows the students that are quiet and more reserved to be heard.
The students were very excited to see both of the materials. The QBall of course got the most attention just because of the age group. We use the QBall for classroom discussions in subject areas as well as to build relationships.
We are learning the best ways to use these products in the classroom and making it most effective. I'm sure we can continue to improve using these and they will be used for years to come.”

Funded Mar 25, 2019This trip was a great experience for all of my students. They were able to recall knowledge from the classroom and apply it to things that they saw in person. I was thrilled that they were able to get a glimpse into the way that our state government works. I hope that it will help them understand a little bit more of the things that they my hear their parents talk about or on the news. All of the sites that we visited had amazing guides that made the history real to them while also sharing stories that would appeal to kids of that age.”
