    I first want to say thank you so much for loving this project as much as I do for my little ones. This sensory isn't just a place for my students to get their wiggles out but a place where they can expand their gross motor development and risk taking skills in a safe environment. This new amazing sensory room is so beneficial when the weather doesn't allow for them to go outside. As I worked on the sensory room putting the equipment together, the little ones would walk by with such excitement. They are so excited and grateful! Thank You,Thank You, Thank You!”

  • Lego Coding and Creativity!

    I just want to thank you for your donations. Your contributions have taking reading, writing, creativity and problem solving to a new developmental level. The legos have provided students with a sense of creativity that encourages them to want to read and write. When given Lego task cards it's amazing to see what each student can do. The lego creativity allows me to highlight students for something other than academics, and that is creativity. It allows every student to feel special in their own way.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by PwC and 7 other donors.
This year I began experimenting with fictional story writing through lego building. This activity helped my students enhance their writing through creativity, details and writing concepts such as dialogue, settings to stories and character traits. I would love to see my students enhance their lego creativity through writing and coding with more extensive lego supplies. I have seen such a difference in my students excitement for writing. They are so motivated to acquire every detail in their writing to make their writing magical. I researched lego coding and I think it would be a great introduction to coding. Computer science is on the rise and I think lego coding will get my young scholars fascinated and engrossed in it.My goal is to link something they love with something they need to learn and master.
