A water/ sand sensory table will give my students an opportunity to learn through play and their senses. I plan on incorporating this table with various curricular activities such as shape exploration, letter searching, science, and math. The table gives me an opportunity to not only use water but also incorporate sand and the water beads with learning. This will be especially important for students with individualized education plans as it will provide a means for these students to explore and learn with hands on activities! Not to mention, students in this age group thrive on play as means of learning. Which is exactly what this table will provide.
