I teach first grade in northern California and I have 24 "little pumpkins" who love to tell stories. We have begun our journey to become great authors and illustrators. However, it has been a challenging task due to deep budget cuts throughout our district's schools. Our class sizes have increased while our resources and materials have decreased. Thus, my students need a variety of meaningful and current activities to learn and understand important skills that will support them as they embark on this great journey.
