A Smart Classroom for Smart Students
Funded Oct 23, 2023We are so grateful for your contributions towards "A Smart Classroom for Smart Students" project. Since implementing the echo technology, students have grown independent when the customized alarm/reminders calls them for their individualized sensory breaks. Multilingual language learners have learned to independently ask the device the meaning/translation of a word when they are feeling unsure. Having this tool handy has boosted their agency and supported their vocabulary. Lastly, the class loves to view the pictures that are playing on a loop. Revisiting classroom memories has been supportive of students' social emotional development, building community and a sense of belonging. Once again, we appreciate for supporting our class project!”

Warm Explorers Of The Outdoors!
Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you so much for your contributions to this project. Though the original intentions were to get hats and gloves for my students, the impact of supply chain made the products unavailable at the time. However, this project evolved with my class. The more I got to learn about my class and their abilities, the more I realized how much they benefited from hands on phonics and math centers. Therefore, the materials obtained with your contributions allowed me to provide my students with a wide rage of materials that addresses individual needs. For instance, for phonics each child is assigned to a basket of activities made and laminated for their use. Each activity is organized in pouches and each basket is divided by skill. As children master a skill they move on to the next higher order skill.
Phonics has become one of the most exciting parts of or learning day and all thanks to your generosity. My students and I thank you dearly.”

Funded Aug 13, 2021My students and I are grateful for your contributions that supported our efforts of creating a safe classroom environment. The materials were received prior to the start of school which allowed teachers to prepare a bin for every student with a pencil case that held their individual writing tools. This approach minimizes sharing materials and germs. On the first day of kindergarten we welcomed students into the classroom after a year of remote learning. Many were eager to see their materials labeled and other's were curious about what was in their bin. Ultimately, everyone was really happy to attend school in person and experience the wonders of the classroom!”

Funded Oct 18, 2020Thank you so much for your contributions towards making remote learning possible for my students. Materials arrived at the school and this was a great opportunity to arrange packages for parents to pick up. Children received their materials and were eager to use them right away. In the pictures you can see the materials set up for distribution and how children are using the lap desks in different areas of their home. Over time, students have become more independent in choosing a space in their home that will allow them to do their best learning. This is posible becuase of the materials they received through this project. We are very grateful for your support!”

Learning Through Play
Funded Sep 3, 2019My kindergarteners and I are grateful for your contributions that have enriched our daily play experiences.
We start the day with Project Time, where children have to choose to play at different centers. The most evident impact of this project is having an appropriate number of materials for children to share. As children engage in play, teachers have noticed how they negotiate and collaborate with each other resulting on truly amazing buildings.
The quality of the materials received through this project have sparked curiosity among children. For instance, the rawness of tree blocks allows open ended opportunities for building. Students have built a car, a city, a forest, and castles.
Thank you again for believing in the power of play.”

Clean Water for Clear Thinking
Funded Aug 24, 2019My kindergarten students and I are thankful for your generosity in making this project happen. As we settled into the new school year and stablished our classroom routines, drinking water has been part of our day through movement breaks, after lunch water breaks, and after specialty where children go to gym or dance classes and come back to the classroom thirsty.
Having individual water bottles have helped kindergarteners be independent in taking care of their needs. This has also been an opportunity to reinforce responsibility. Each student takes care of their water bottle and participate in the filling up and washing process. Lastly, with today's demand for youth to engage in climate change activism, kindergarteners are learning to recycle and practice sustainable choices that will benefit out planet.
As you can see a lot of amazing experiences are resulting from this project, and all thanks to your support.”
