When breakfast moves into the kindergarten classroom, life lessons begin! Kiddos coming into Kindergarten are excited about all the new experiences and opportunities they will get. Most are away from their families for the very first time. And with this, comes new challenges. Soon we begin to hear many things come from our newbies. "Oh my goodness....I spilled my milk!" "Oh, no, there goes the applesauce on the floor!" "What do I do, when I tried to get off my cereal top, the cereal went flying all over the room!!!!!!" "What do I do now? Help!!!! Well, one way we can help our students, is to teach them how to eat neater, clean up after themselves, and handle all those crazy situations that happen in a classroom full of kids eating breakfast together in close quarters! How do we do that? Using tools like trays to contain the mess, wipes to clean up spills, brooms to get all that trix cereal that went flying when they ripped off the top, help us teach students to become more independent and responsible. All these things along with recycling cans, swiffer mops, eating supplies, will help our classroom not only run smoother, but help us to teach the kids how to problem solve. With independence comes confidence. With confidence, comes the ability to take ownership in not only their learning, but also in life. Your help by providing all the tools we need, will allow us to teach our students to keep our classroom clean while also having it ready for learning!
