Several students struggle to regulate their bodies and emotions throughout the school day, which then in turn makes them miss instruction for longer periods of time. A sensory room would help students feel safe and regulate their bodies to be successful as learners. The bean bag, weighted blanket, bubble lamp, light filters and lamp will give students a comfortable place to regulate and feel safe. The lamps and filters will bring a calm feeling to the room. The weighted blankets will give students pressure when they need to be regulated and the bean bag chair will be a comfortable spot for students to be calm.
