We Can See Clearly With a Document Camera!
Funded May 24, 2021Thank you so much for donating to my project! This has made it so much easier for me to teach my students from home by giving me the ability to show them step by step what they need to do to complete activities as we did them virtually. I was able to share my screenshotjes the document camera to let them see what I was doing, for visual learners this is so important. I used the notebook and pens to help me model and demonstrate math and writing for my students Dinther had the ability to complete the lessons with confidence. I can not thank you more!”

Cultivating Leaders Through Literacy
Funded Sep 4, 2020I can not begin to express my gratitude for the donations that funded this project. I am so grateful that each one of you cares enough about our students as much as we do. During this pandemic it has been hard to teach from a distance and getting these books has enabled me to continue to teach literacy, leadership through the arts from home. The students use the books, which the are able to hear the story from a recording and then have conversations about the text while connecting it to the topic of leadership. I create art lessons that connect with each book which is a fun way to have students get hands on learning. Thank you for your donation from the bottom of my heart and my school community.”

Funded Sep 13, 2020I can not begin to express the gratitude I feel from the donations that funded this project! I am grateful for each and every donor that donated, the materials that I received have helped me to continue to teach students the importance of leadership and connecting literacy and the arts with it. The journals I received can not be used due to COVID restrictions this year but I am able to take a picture of the pages and upload them for students to do virtually. The books I received are used as mentor text and some for the book of the month at my school. We focus on a book that connects with one of the seven habits and make connections by creating art work that is associated with the topic. Thank you again for your generosity.”

Funded Aug 26, 2020These materials have made it possible for me to teach from home during this pandemic and still be able to reach all the students in my school community virtually. With the reading materials I am able to make videos of myself reading to the students. The other materials will be used when we can be together again in the classroom. I service about 400 students which would make it difficult to try and bring materials to each one, however they had the materials they need and used what they had available at home. Because I am working remotely I am teaching a second grade class as well as still providing lessons for literacy and leadership through the arts. They were able to represent art work that connected with the topics we covered. The art they created was not limited to pictures but they also created various things depending on the topic at hand. I am forever grateful and very grateful for your donation, and look forward to the day when we can be in a physical classroom again. many thanks.”

Funded Oct 4, 2015I can not begin to thank all of you for supporting my project and getting it funded. Because of the donation you made I am able to have the resources I need to service the more than 400 students I see on a weekly basis as an art/literacy teacher. The classes have used all of the materials in various art projects we have done. The dot markers were used to help the kindergarten students gain an undertaning with the elements of art using shape and color. We used the glitter to add dimension to our Marcus Pfister projects in grade one project,- and the art trays come in handy when having to distribute materials to groups of students. The box of large crayons were greatly needed,I appreciate your thoughtfulness and can not thank you enough!”

Funded Dec 20, 2013I can't begin to tell you how the resources my classroom received have impacted my students! Thank you for contributing to my project and giving these kids the materials they needed to help them play and learn at the same time. They didn't want to stop working in puzzle centers, they loved the colorful designs and would sing and chant the alphabet and numbers as they worked in groups together. Everyday they would ask when is center time, they were excited to use the materials everyday. The math materials I received helped to strengthen number recognition in those students who needed it most. I could go on and on about how much the resources have helped the students in my class this year! I am so thankful and happy that other children will also benefit from these resources. Again I say thank you to you for caring enough to contribute to our classroom.”

Dramatic Play..Play To Learn!
Funded Dec 30, 2010I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution to my classroom. The community worker costumes have been such a great addition to our dramatic play area. The students have been using them constantly and it has increased oral language in all of them. The art materials have enabled them to create and art activities that they truly love.
Without your contribution this would have been impossible, my school is experiencing budget issues which wouldn't have aloud the purchase of these materials.
Thank you once again for your contribution and support to my classroom and to classrooms across the United States.”
