My classroom consists of 25 students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds including some English Language Learners and special needs students. Together we are a classroom family that encourages each individual to show growth in academics and as community leaders. My students will use the Kindles to become authors creating authentic stories about their learning experiences throughout the year. Students will create a video diary of their journey back to wholeness in their community after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. I expect to build a generation of socially aware individuals who grow into world leaders! Technology is a means to connect my students to a world that they are not economically privy to at this point in their lives.

About my class
