My kiddos work each and every day to learn new curriculum, make new friends, and, most importantly, manage their behaviors and emotions. They are continuously striving to reach their goals. Some days they will achieve their goals and some days they won't, and that's OK. However, when these kiddos achieves their goal, it is something to be celebrated! Rather than giving my kiddos rewards from the dollar tree or target dollar spot, I hope to instill the reward of exploration, investigation, and knowledge by creating a Maker Space Exploration Station as a reward for achieving one of their goals. I want my kiddos to want to succeed because they want to explore things that they are passionate or curious about. The Maker Space materials and STEM activities will motivate students to achieve their goals, enhance their learning experiences, work to develop their passions and explore their curiosities, and motivate them to push past their hardships and the predispositions to become all that they aspire to be! My kiddos, as well as all the other future leaders of this world, deserve to become all that they want to be. As their teacher and their cheerleader, I need to do whatever it takes to get them there, starting with this project! We need a LEGO Simple Machine Set, an Ozobot, Snap Circuits, a Makey Makey Kit and other STEM materials.
