Let There Be SOUND!
Funded Feb 29, 2024Thank you for my 6th and 7th grade math students with headphones to use during our digital learning time. Many students achieved magnificent growth, partly due to the ability to hear each personalized lesson. In addition, my English language learner has benefited from hearing lessons translated to his native language.
My students' headphones are organized by class and numbered for accountability. Responsible students distribute and collect the headphones before and after small group instruction time. Students are proud of their beautiul new headphones, that don't have to be shared with any other student.
I am tremendously thankful for your kindness and generosity.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Cox Enterprises and 2 other donors.Supplies for 6th Grade Math
Funded Nov 22, 2022The Ticonderoga pencils, Crayola colored pencils, folders and ziplock bags were all necessary additions to our Math and Science classroom community. My 6th graders were so relieved and thankful when they saw the donation. In science, students enjoyed using colored pencils to add creativity and details to their models and drawings of molecular movement during phase changes. Students used the folders to house their data chats worksheets and work logs. The ziplock bags work perfectly to house students books and supplies at their shared desk.
And the pencil. The pencils!!!!!
For most students, one of the largest stressors at the beginning of our math block was locating and sharpening a pencil. Ticonderoga pencils work the best in our electric pencil sharpener. Pencils are sharpened in a few seconds and students are ready to work. We are so thankful that the anxiety caused as a result of not having a pencil is over. Pencils are readily available to students. They sign pencils out and they are free to use them for the entire day, retuning the pencil at the end of the day. They feel prepared and are equipped to do their best work. For these reasons, we are so thankful for this donation!”
