Our calculators are outdated and broken down from years of abuse. I want to give my students the confidence to work on some real-life problems and help prepare them for the ACT. Our students seem to become a little more engaged in the lessons we do in class. A good example is when we did Exponential decay and growth problems and I used my emulator software on the SmartBoard to show them how they could use the calculator to graph, and they immediately started to try and find a calculator.
