Ours is one of the few elementary schools in the district that has a wellness center. This year we are fortunate to be expanding to accommodate more students in a bigger space. Historically students have accessed the wellness center to gain the skills needed to cope with complex issues such as stress, trauma, bullying, depression, and complicated friendship dynamics. Students learn positive, lifelong habits that contribute to their well-being and success, and ultimately, to thrive in school and in life. Your generous donations will go towards creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming Wellness Center. This said, we are seeking resources to help make our center beautiful. Most of the requested furnishings will go towards the 3 cool-down stations where rugs, bookshelf dividers, and soothing fixtures are needed. Additionally, the small groups work area is in need of a rug and partition to create some privacy. And lastly, we would like some aromatherapy diffusers to positively impact the mood of all students entering the center. Thank you for taking the time to consider my project.
