Seated For Success!
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations. Our wiggle chairs have added so much fun and color to our room. Students are able to move the stools to quiet locations to work with friends. They especially love using them to buddy read at a special table. When the students have the chance to use the stools, they are so proud. They read and do math with such focus. It is funny that a special change in seat helps a student focus and work hard. They especially love choosing a favorite color. I have noticed the students using team work to help one another when they read or do math in a special spot. Thank you again for setting up our class as we are "seated for success."”

Funded Jan 14, 2021After last spring the return to school was not very clear for any teachers or students. Many of our families were going through very tough times. Weather they lost loved ones to covid-19, were not able to rely on their family unit or worse they lost jobs and were now unemployed. My class returned to the building without the burden of the supply list to start school. The children each received brand new crayons, markers, folders and colored pencils. When I made each of the children their special basket of supplies their faces lit up. It was magical. They were so excited to learn. We have been able to create many beautiful projects because of this donation.”

Funded Dec 14, 2018Thank you so much for your generous gift to our classroom. The kids were so excited to see the boxes of the Stem challenges. We took each of the projects out to take a preview of what was in store for us as engineers. The kids were excited just by the names of the projects. Our class goal is to set up center rotations working in small groups of engineers. This will create a challenge within the class. We can see how groups work together to complete the project. It will also help the students to look at their friends work, build off their ideas and then see if they could set something up in a different way. The students were also very excited to see the new books for library. The brand new books included topics with girls as creators and characters that look very exciting just by looking at the cover of the book. This will be an extra help to the students to keep engaged in exciting learning during our spring months. Thank you again for the generous donation.”

Keeping Cool in Second Grade
Funded Aug 18, 2018Thank you so much for thinking of us. Each one of your donations meant a lot to us. We had an extremely hot start to the school year in New York. Some days were feel like temperatures of 100 degrees. While many surrounding schools had early dismissals and air conditioners. Ours did not. This concerned many parents. They were worried about the safety and health of the children. Thanks to your generous donations we were able to keep cool in second grade. The fans provided a cool breeeze to blow in our classroom. The kids were a bit more comfortable and able to start the school year making new friends and learn new material. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
