Often times the students in my program will become very dsyregulated throughout their days and need a place to go outside of their classrooms to take a break, regroup or just need an alternative learning space to complete their work. Currently, we only have empty rooms for them to go to take a break. These rooms are nothing but four walls and a carpeted floor. With having a lounge chair for comfortable seating, calming lighting, relaxation sounds, fidgets and sensory tools, this will help the students be able regulate their bodies and minds and help them get back to their classrooms for learning and in the end feel more opportunities of success throughout their days.
