Helpful Hygiene
Funded Apr 11, 2025This classroom project was brought to life by The Tepper Foundation and 3 other donors.Organized Scientists
Funded Nov 9, 2024Thank you for donating supplies to my classroom. My classes are inclusion classes that have a range of students with different abilities and needs. Using the thermal printer has been very helpful when giving students diagrams and key terms for studying purposes. They are able to simply stick the printed image into their notebooks for safe keeping!
The laminator that we received has been put to good use as we can laminate shared materials. This allows us to use less paper and we can save all the laminated instructions and models for the following year.
Thank you again for your generosity and giving my students more resources to use throughout the year!”

Funded Aug 29, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity. I believe the saying is, "it takes a village." My students and I are so thankful that you are part of our village.
For many students, school can be an escape and a place where they can just be kids. As a teacher I only have them for a short time, so I try to make the most of it by creating meaningful lessons and artifacts they can keep through the years.
One of our newest projects we were able to complete with our supplies was a recipe card. Students researched a recipe or asked someone at home for directions and ingredients for a recipe of their favorite food. Many students chose a family recipe that was passed down for generations!
Students they created a "recipe card" where they listed ingredients and identified their state of matter. In the directions, students identified physical and chemical changes as well as what type of heat transfer was taking place. Many students and families were so invested that they brought in samples for the class!
At the end of the project, students were able to take their recipe cards home and hopefully keep them for years to come. These are the types of projects that we are able to complete with donations from sponsors like you.
Thank you for being part of our village and helping to create meaningful memories with Science and family.”

Funded Jul 17, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations to our special school club. The students love taking the time to send positivity and words of encouragement to the entire school. With your donations we were able to give our club more resources with the post-it notes and markers while they create their affirmation station.
We were also able to decorate the bulletin board with new bulletin paper and border! The students are excited to add more accents from the donations as well And truly make it their own.
Witb the poster boards we were able to make signs for our annual bake sale to raise funds for the local fire station. We were able to advertise the bake sale and have an even bigger turn out than last year!
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. We were able to do such amazing things and the year has only begun!”

Funded Feb 6, 2023Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to bring this project to life. I purchased small bins from the dollar store to organize the materials for students to use. I've already had current and past students stop by and take what they needed!
Students know they can come to my classroom and ask for something and not feel embarrassed. I've also informed my other grade level teachers of my supplies and they have either added to it or let their students know I have something for them if they need it. It really is spreading the positivity through the grade level.
Moving forward I would like to get better storage for the supplies and offer more varieties of soaps, lotions, hand sanitizers, etc for students to take as needed. Some students have offered to bring in things they do not need so they are also taking ownership of this project! Thank you again for the continued support of our classes and sharing the love I have for my students.”

"Conducting" Science in Color!
Funded Sep 26, 2022Thank you for your donation to my Science classroom this year. With your donations I was able to get the supplies needed for students to test the conductivity of various materials in a lab. The students loved the lab and were so engaged that they asked to try other materials from around the room!
When we first unveiled the materials the students weren't sure what we would use all the materials for, but were so excited as I explained what we could do with them. We were actually able to use the materials for two separate labs and share with the other 7th grade classes and self contained students.
My co-teacher and I are planning on some fun and engaging projects for our students to enjoy. We have asked students to give us some ideas and topics they would like to cover and I know we are planning on a possible Shark Week theme when we get to our predator prey content!
Thank you again for your generosity and allowing my students to be excited for Science and labs!”

Funded Jan 13, 2022Thank you for your donations to my classroom for our Black History Month project. This was something that was started by my colleague in their Social Studies class that I felt was important in all subject areas, especially Science. We learn so often of the scientists like Einstein, Tesla and Edison, but we rarely discuss our scientists that are people of color.
With this project I was able to showcase the many contributions of Black scientists with tangible research materials or various levels. The books made research accessible for all of my learners and the poster was a great starting point for anyone who was struggling and needed a visual. My students were so excited to use new materials and would share their scientist's contribution with other classmates.
Thank you again for this opportunity. I cannot wait to expand my resources for the upcoming years!”

Snacks for 7th Grade Scholars
Funded Dec 30, 2021With the pandemic and being virtual for almost two years, we were able to see the home lives for many of our students. When we returned I knew that there were students that didn't want to receive the free breakfast provided by the school, but we're hungry every morning. I wanted to provide them with healthy snack choices to start their day off right.
When I first received my packages I was so excited to show my students. The students were so excited and wanted a big unveiling. They were so grateful that people donated so that they wouldn't be hungry in the morning or on their walk home from school.
I have had students replenish the snack and water bins when they're running low. My current and past students know they can come into the room, go to the bins and take what they need. Thank you for helping me create a safe space for my students and allowing my classroom to feel like a home.”

Funded Dec 17, 2021Thank you so much for affording me the opportunity to purchase amazing resources and lessons for my students. This year has been a challenge with many students stepping foot into the classroom for the first time in two years. Attending school virtually has affected the type of students they are and having highly engaging lessons has had a tremendous impact in the classroom.
We were able to purchase several escape room activities covering the water cycle, chemistry basics and the rock cycle. We have also been able to use project based learning for students to research and develop earthquake safe buildings in our Earth Science unit. Students are extremely excited to simulate an island survival where they need to take inventory of the natural resources available to them and how to map their surroundings.
Without your generosity none of this would be possible! As we become more familiar and adapt to our new curriculum, it is so important we have supplementary resources and activities to use. When the students are more engaged, deeper learning can occur. Students find it easier to remember concepts and topics based on their hands on learning opportunities and their excitement to complete their projects makes the teachers excited as well. Thank you again for this opportunity!”

Funded Oct 1, 2021Thank you for generous donations to my classroom. I was thrilled to announce to the class when the project was funded and the items we were receiving, thanks to you! With the items purchased from the project my students and I have been able to properly clean desks in between classes, allow my students to wash their hands as needed and provide them with new face masks when their old ones break.
I try to make my classroom a safe space for my students where they feel protected and at home. Having cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and soaps at the sink give them ownership of their space. They love wiping down the tables, sanitizing their hands when they feel they need to and most importantly washing their hands when needed. My students know they can come to my class for a new mask if theirs' breaks or they lose it. Having two different sizes has been so beneficial because so many of them are in-between adult and kids sizes.
I still have a healthy supply of materials for my second semester students and still gather and stowaway materials that I find on sale. Should I run out or get low on materials, I plan on making a new project to collect more cleaning supplies and hopefully have enough hand sanitizer and masks for future classes.
Thank you again for your generous donations and caring for my class and students. You will never know how much it means to us.”
