  • We are in Need of Paint and Sit Spots

    Thank you for your generous donation. It is because of your generosity that our students are able to create wonderful art pieces with their new paint bottles. They are also experiencing a much better time during their circle time on the rug in the mornings because they now have Sit Spots to identify their space. Spacial Awareness is something that children begin to develop during these early years, and their Sit Spot help them tremendously to know where they need to stand and sit.   • Improving Our Centers

    Thank you for your donations to our classroom project. It is because of your generous contribution that our students are more engaged in their classroom centers and enjoying their time while playing in them. I have witnessed our children display a more creative side while at their centers and these new items that have helped facilitate play.

    Lastly, the children are experiencing better rest time on their new, soft rest mats and they are truly grateful. Our children are able to fall completely fall asleep for their nap time and tell me that they feel very cozy with the new mats.”

    It is because of your generous donation that our students are able to complete their daily computer programs successfully without getting frustrated or leaving questions unanswered in their computer assignments. The one click-button computer mice allow for our students who are beginning to perfect their fine-motor skills answer questions on the computer screen with just the click of one click of a button as well as drag and drop answers throughout the screen to its correct location. These wonderful computer mice and extra laptop allow are definitely helping the students reach their academic goals.   • Getting the World One Click at a Time!

    Thank you so much for your donation which contributed towards our four yoga chairs and two laptops. It is because of your donations, that our students have been able to experience a more flexible and improved learning environment. Currently, two yoga chairs are being incorporated in the computer center and the other chairs are being used at the writing table. These flexible seating yoga chairs will allow my students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, my students can choose a location in the classroom that works for them. My students are choosing to work in a variety of centers in such as: at different tables, rug area or sitting / laying on the floor with a clipboard. When children feel comfortable they are able to learn. I notice a difference in students when they are given a choice in their seating. The laptop​ computers will be integrated into the classroom library and all other areas allowing students to work on a variety of programs that reinforce concepts learned in the classroom and beyond.
