With everything going digital, dictionary skills are falling to the wayside. I would like to ensure that my students can successfully navigate through a dictionary. These dictionaries are geared towards lower elementary and are a wonderful stepping stone to a higher-level dictionary. This dictionary is filled with up-to-date technological, scientific, and cultural terms, hundreds of new words, and sidebars that have colorful images. It has a kid-friendly pronunciation guide and sample sentences. Included in the dictionary are a thesaurus, as well as guides to grammar, idioms, geography, and US presidents. This is a perfect reference for students in second grade.
