Whatever You Need, I Have It
Funded Sep 11, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation. My classroom has truly benefited from the supplies. My students were so excited when they saw the materials. They were ready to use the pencils, markers, birthday crowns, play-doh, and dry erase markers.
We use the dry erase markers daily for board work. We usually use them on the board during math time. For example, we have been working on ordering numbers least to greatest. The students received 3 numbers and had to put them in order.
We use our pencils daily for writing time. My students every day have to complete a writing prompt. The tri-write pencils have helped them have a better grip and a lot of them have really improved their writing skills.
Lastly, everyone is a big fan of the birthday crowns. Everyone has asked for them when they have their birthday and love when people say happy birthday. These materials have been a great asset to my classroom. Thank you again for your donations.”

Bee-Bots For My Busy Bees
Funded Aug 30, 2018Thank you for your thoughtful contribution to our project "Bee-Bots For My Busy Bees." My students were so excited when they saw me bring out the Bee-Bots. Some of my students have used them before and began telling other students how great it is to use them. The only technology that they had used before was an IPAD. So of course, they were excited to try something new! They were all ready to touch the Bee-Bot and loved its bright colors. I began to immediately explain how to use it.
I've incorporated the Bee-Bot in my teaching as well as an independent activity. The students and I have used it to discuss directional/positional words such as left and right, forwards and backwards. It has helped them learn to figure out directions. Also, we have used it to practice rhyming words. We have a large mat with pictures on it of different words. For example, dog, cat, and tree are a few. The students have to draw a card and find the rhyming match using the Bee-Bot. The students have also used it find sight words. In the future, we'll also use it to match beginning sounds, counting and CVC words.
Without your donation, we would not be able to incorporate this technology weekly into our school day. Thank you again for your generous gift.”

Ms. Williams
