Seeing the World With Your Fingertips

Your contribution to our classroom has had a great impact on the students learning and socializing skills! Throughout our day we spend 50 minutes working in centers/groups. The students work together and discuss the activities in their small groups. These resources have helped make our center time academically and socially meaningful. When the students were informed about our project being funded they were super excited to receive the materials and put them to use the day we received the packages. The Can Do Vocabulary games, Roll & Write Word games, Reading & Writing Skills Folder games will give my students an opportunity to apply their skills to the different modalities of learning. They will enhance their visual, social, and fine motor skills. Since my students are in junior high, I am preparing them for high school. One of the goals I am working on is teaching them how to build social skills. Many of my students are not aware of the social norms and how to have small conversations with others. With these items, my students can work together with their peers and learn how to interact with others while building onto their academic knowledge.
