Our chairs are old, cracked, and really not big enough for most young adults in the 8th grade. These adjustable, padded task chairs will replace the 20+ year-old hard plastic seats in my astronomy classroom and create a welcoming environment for deep thought and dialogue. The rolling wheels allow students to group-together and collaborate at will. All people - adults and kids alike - learn and focus better in comfortable, ergonomic work spaces. Who doesn't love taking the occasional "spin" in a nice chair? Our campus does not receive funding for upgraded, comfortable seating, but it will surely have a positive impact on the time students spend in my classroom.
