  • Hoops, Basketballs and Team Building

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation of basketballs, corn hole, pinnies and soccer nets. My kids were so excited when I told them our project had been fully funded and that we would be receiving the items in the next few days. When the brown Amazon boxes came they couldn't wait for unveiling. They cheered as I pulled each item and said, "It feels like Christmas again!"

We have been using the items and cant wait for P.E. days when we all get to play soccer. The pinnies have been great in team building. The girls who were hesitant to play at first have now joined in during soccer days. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. You have helped create long lasting memories.”

  • Artist in the Making

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you for giving us another easel, it has allowed more students to paint and express their emotions. I can't describe how happy my Transitonal Kindergarten class is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons because we get to go out and paint. When I pick them up in the morning they always ask, "Is it a painting day?"

After lunch when they see me set up the 4-sided Easel they begin to share with each other what they will paint. My student's love to paint rainbows, dinosaurs and houses.

Their paintings express their creativity, and their emotions. Recently we have started color mixing and it's wonderful to see how they experiment with color. When the students take their masterpieces home they are so excited to show their families. Thank you for helping to create such wonderful memories.”

  • Individual Seat Storage

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Your donation has been a lifesaver.

The Seat Pocket Organizers have been a game charger in our Transitional Kindergarten classroom. Before receiving these great gifts our classroom spent so much time passing out, white boards, markers and notebooks. It's always such chaos. We spent 5-7 minutes getting everyone what they needed. Transition from one activity to the next was also disruptive. Now, that each child has their own materials at their fingertips

their materials are organized and easily retrievable. No more waiting. Everything seems to run smoother and it has created a much more positive environment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Diversity and Inclusion Starts in Kinder!

    Funded Sep 5, 2021

Thank you for your donation to my project "Diversity and Inclusion Starts in Kinder." The multi-cultural library and various set of Multi-Ethical Family Figures have been a wonderful addition to our classroom.

Our favorite book at this time is "It's Okay to Be Different" by Todd Parr. We have read it multiple times. The kids enjoy the colorful pictures and drawings on each page. They have enjoyed it so much that we have created our own self-portraits inspired by the book. Before the art project we sat down and discussed the wonderful qualities we poses. Each child had the opportunity to share what makes them so unique and special. As we created each masterpiece I could see just how happy the students were painting and expressing their creativity.

I have added the Multi-Ethnic Family figures to our block area. Because many of the students are culturally diverse it celebrates their diverse ethnical backgrounds.

Thanks again for providing my classroom with a wonderful selection of books, art supplies and family figures that will enrich students' awareness of the people around them.”

  • My House is Your House

    Funded Oct 12, 2021

My heart is full of gratitude! When the big brown box came I told my students that we had received an awesome new playhouse. They were so excited and couldn't wait until Friday when our parent volunteer was coming to help us with the building of the house.

We have been able to play in the playhouse for about 3 weeks now

and each time we go outside the kids automatically gravitate to the house.

It's so nice to see and hear them role play.

Their favorite game right now is "family". They assign each other roles and act out situations. Sometimes I just sit nearby and can't help, but listen to their conversations .

Their conversations reveal family dynamics, their problem solving skills and their compassion. Some kids are so patient and caring that it warms my heart.

Thank you, Thank you because with out your generous donations this wouldn't be possible.”

    Mrs. Aguilar

  • If I Grow...My T-Ks Grow

    Funded May 27, 2015

Thank you for the generous donation of the computer for our classroom. We started using our computer to assess student progress. It has made it so much faster and easier to test all 24 of my students. Before we received our beautiful computer I would have to wait to go to the computer lab (which wasn't very convenient ) or restart the computer after every child. The use of the computer has helped me to ensure that I get the test done in a timely manner allowing me more time to revise student data and being able to plan according to my students needs.

The computer was also the missing link between a projector and an apple t.v. that was given to our class a few months ago. The combination of these three items has allowed me not only to assess my students but has also opened up new learning opportunities for my students.

We are practicing letter recognition by flashing letters on the screen in order for the kids to see and hear the letter name and their corresponding sounds. We have been able to play educational videos on diverse topics such as celebrations across the world, rhyming songs and exercise videos to keep us moving. I am still discovering and learning new ways to use my new computer not only for my own personal development as a 21st century teacher, but also preparing my students to become well prepared students.

    Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Aguilar
