Healthy and Safe Classroom
Funded Sep 17, 2019When I told my students our project got funded they had a smile on their faces. I have told them about the importance of cleaning up and making sure we follow our healthy habits. Everyday as my students complete activities in the classroom they use the Clorox Wipes to clean up. They also keep their hands clean by using the Purell hand sanitizer. Students have been doing better health wise which has made a positive impact because they have not missed school. Thanks to our donors students have been learning every day.”

Our First STEAM Ozobots
Funded May 14, 2019We have received our Ozobots Coding Robots. My students were very excited when I shared the news. They couldn't wait to start working with the Ozobots. Before we began using them, I went over all the Color Codes. Since this year our language arts curriculum changed... they have incorporated cursive writing. One of the first activities we started doing is they had to write their name in cursive using the color codes from the Ozobots. Each student decided to do different Color Codes, some wanted for the Ozobots to go slow, fast and the most exciting Color Codes they choose were the "tornado, turbo, and nitro boost," they each got to share their coding cursive name activities. Since cursive is something new to them they are still learning to do their letter strokes. With the Ozobots they are learning to do cursive in a meaningful way. These Ozobots are a new education trend that these kids have not been exposed to these type of technology devices. Thank you to our donors for ensuring our future leaders are exposed to differentiated instruction. I am sure they will remember doing these meaningful activities for years to come. THANK YOU!!!”

Funded Aug 23, 2018I have seen tremendous impact in my students learning. They feel confident and excited everytime they get to use the green screen. We have used it to do video reflections and to take pictures. The students look forward to using this great technology tool. When our donation first arrived they quickly set up the equipment and started to plan ways they could take advantage of this tool. Students are not afraid to speak on video anymore. When students record a video they get to upload it to the Seesaw app and other students get to see it too. Some project are done individually and others are done in group. I am amazed at how quickly the students got used to the green screen and how they quickly learned to use it. They get to express themselves in meaningful ways and practice the English Language.”
