All of the items I asked for will benefit my kindergarten students by allowing them opportunities to move which can enhance the learning process and help them to work collaboratively with their peers. Bouncing, standing, leaning against a wall, squatting on a ball, even sitting on the floor means less fatigue and better concentration.
Research states the impact of movement in the classroom can be profound. Children should avoid sitting for too long. When teachers implement flexible seating in their classrooms their students' were more engaged in learning and critical thinking, their grades improved and participation increased with more invigorating conversations.
