In order for students to really be engaged, I want them to be comfortable in the seating style they choose. Options in my class that I have for my students are stand up desks, rug seating and desks for kids to sit on the floor. Listening to student feedback I do need to make the areas a little more comfortable so I am asking for different seating options. Yoga balls, pillows, back supported seating, and fidget bands will help my students stay engaged, focused and minimize the need to wander around the room! With students in their area and comfortable I should see more engagement.
